Abstract: The article argues that the basic arguments of the article must be based upon observation and analysis. Observation may be of published literature or of experiments conducted to prove or disprove a notion. Observations can be of the behavior of specific materials or machines or social or economic phenomenon. Also, the issues raised in the paper must have some theoretical or practical significance in the specific professional field. The author may contradict or extend a theory already propounded or may propound a new theory, or may simply explain how the proposition is rooted theoretically. Also, the key statement should have some practical significance. Research should always be actionable, i.e. it should be applicable in certain areas. If a new method for testing a textile product is the subject, it should be possible for textile manufacturers to apply that method in real situations. Unless a proposed way of forecasting futures prices can be applied to real world data, it is unlikely to evoke much interest from the academia, as well as the industry.
