Abstract: This is an excerpt from David G. Jones' just released book: The School of Sun Tzu ¨C Winning Empires without War. This book focuses on the development, 2300 years ago, of timeless principles and practices in organizational management, strategic planning and conflict prevention. Reaching those findings, David thoroughly examined the history of the founding of China and its development and application of strategies in Sun Tzu (more correctly Ping-fa) and the Tao Te Ching. Those who have read the Art of War will find his retelling of this classic in plain, non-military language an interesting experience. David's findings have ready application in a number of areas. Here are his comments on the field of international trade.
