Giampaolo Arachi, Michele Giuranno and Paola Profeta

CESifo Economic Studies, 2018, vol. 64, issue 3, 339-344

Abstract: We introduce papers of the CESifo symposium on ‘Inequality and Public Policies’ which contribute to our understanding of inequality and the role of public policies to address it. The papers show that to effectively address inequality, it is more important to address the ex ante factors rather than the ex post consequences.
