Abstract:
This paper presents the mathematical analysis of a single stage absorption cycle using heat rejected from thermoelectric modules to drive the cycle. The absorption cycle uses LiBr/H 2 O solution as the working pair with thermoelectric modules sandwiched between the generator and absorber. The results of the analysis show that thermoelectric modules would provide the heat required to drive the absorption cycle and the overall coefficient of performance (COP) of the integrated system could be higher than unity.
