Round-up of European Union trade marks in 2024

Abstract: The purpose of this article is to give a quick overview of the most significant European Union trade mark (EUTM) cases decided in 2024 by the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the General Court (GC).The 2024 case law includes interesting developments on the notions of ‘bad faith’ and 'unfair advantage' taken of reputation.The article has a practical bias and is aimed at readers who wish rapidly to identify the key decisions of 2024.
