Abstract:
This paper examines the record of the 1997–2010 Labour administration on health and healthcare. It begins by outlining the policies adopted by the administration with respect to the delivery of healthcare services and population health. It then presents a two-part assessment. In the first part we examine the performance of the administration with respect to improvements in healthcare and population health. In the second part, we examine the healthcare policy record.
