Comparing and evaluating public research organisations: a unique, participatory mechanism in place in France

Abstract:
A cooperative mechanism, comprising a representative steering committee, an independent operator and working groups from thematic areas, has constructed indicators suited to the French situation. Demographic analyses, bibliometric indicators of scientific output, measurement of copublications and generation of patents and licenses were used. Copyright , Beech Tree Publishing.
