Abstract:
The research activities at the University of Barcelona over the last ten years are used as a model for the application of both quantitative and qualitative methods of research evaluation in similar institutions. An analysis is included using certain input and output indicators that have been frequently accepted as tools for decision-making. Funding of research projects in the different programmes available is analysed, and distribution according to scientific fields, budget items, researcher category and disciplines is included. Contracts are also examined. Copyright , Beech Tree Publishing.
