Technology transfer in Poland: A poor state of affairs and a wavering policy

Abstract: Technology transfer has a crucial role to play in overcoming the innovation impasse existing in Poland: it must be a key component of public innovation policy, with broader and quicker diffusion of innovation as its main aim. Guidelines for innovation policy in Poland published in 1995 outlined a general framework: by 1999 a new version of the document not only did not push things ahead but also cancelled some of the previous fiscal incentives because of the huge deficit of the state budget. Polish industry needs more technology transfer but Polish industrial companies are very passive. Copyright , Beech Tree Publishing.
