Abstract: This research aims to determine the variables that influence the choice of attending live music events. For this purpose, the Cultural Consumption Survey (ECC), developed in Colombia by the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), is used to find a descriptive profile of the attending individual and develop an econometric probit model that explains the influence that the different variables have on attendance probability. The results do not differ from other studies in that there is a high probability that young and single individuals attend this type of event. However, it is highlighted that all levels of education are positive and significant, people attend in all regions of the country, they engage in all activities, and there is participation from minority ethnic sectors.
