Intercountry Income Inequality: An Expansion and an Update

Abstract: In a recent contribution to this journal, Park (1997) examines the issue of intercountry income inequality and convergence at 5-year intervals during the period 1960–1990. In this note, using data from the same sources and the same methodology, we extend the analysis to all years between 1960 and 1995 as well as the more recent period 1990–1995.
