Abstract:
Khawar Mumtaz and Fauzia Rauf pull out some important observations about reproductive rights and health in an economically poor neighbourhood of the Baja Lines south of Lahore, Pakistan. Based on extensive interviews and research with the women in their homes, they identify three areas of need: relevant information, women-friendly/sensitive services and confidence building, self-esteem enhancing measures.
