Abstract:
Imagine a school system in which all the history books need revision overnight and where compulsory courses in the prevailing ideology of society are suddenly obsolete. This situation affects millions of children in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. John Micklewright and Albert Motivans reflect on the issues raised in the report Education for All for that region. Development (2000) 43, 127–129. doi:10.1057/palgrave.development.1110130
