Abstract: May-an Villalba tells the tale of a migrant woman worker from Iloilo who becomes a member of a Hong Kong savings group formed among domestic workers who had migrated from the same community. She is now managing a business set up by this migrant savings group in Passi, Iloilo. This account outlines the NGO support received from the Asian Migrant Centre and Unlad-Kabayan and explores the challenges and struggles associated with migrant reintegration and community economic development in Iloilo.
