Abstract:
David C. Korten argues that September 11th shows that the time has come for humanity to leave behind the self-limiting and ultimately self-destructive institutions of Empire and live into being a new Era of Community. In this new era he envisions life as the defining cultural value, cooperation and partnership as society's organizing principles, and networking as the predominant organizational form.
