Abstract:
Anne Hope and Sally Timmel share their experiences working with faith-based organizations toward transformation and social justice. Inspired by Paul Freire and David Korten's work, as well as their own faith, they reflect on the intersection between religion and development in their work over the last 30 years and in particular on the various elements that made Development Education and Leadership Teams in Action (DELTA) so successful as it builds commitment and creative responses to the needs of a world growing poorer each day.
