From Dialogues to Understanding: Building business scenarios
Arden Brummell
Development, 2004, vol. 47, issue 4, 50-53
Abstract:
Arden Brummell reviews an application of scenarios development designed to stimulate dialogue and build relations between foreign investors and society leaders in developing countries. The scenario process broadens perspectives and accelerates learning for both international company managers and local leaders. He argues that deeper understanding of societal values, customs, structures and institutions and future prospects are vital in successfully managing the issues and risks that emerge with FDI both for investors and developing countries.
