HIV/AIDS Prevention: Hope for a new paradigm?
Tony Barnett
Development, 2007, vol. 50, issue 2, 70-75
Abstract:
Tony Barnett argues that the concept of hope can offer a way through the paradigmatic log-jam over HIV prevention. It links the concepts of risk environment and individual choice and provides for a broader understanding of the social epidemiology of infectious diseases, and a way forward for rapid community diagnosis and participation in policy development.
