Poverty, Inequality and the Underestimation of Rural–urban Linkages
Cecilia Tacoli
Development, 2007, vol. 50, issue 2, 90-95
Abstract:
Cecilia Tacoli argues that there is a complex web of relations and connections incorporating rural and urban dimensions that determine poor people's livelihoods. Ensuring that poor people's voice is heard in policy debates needs to take into account theses realities in order to break down the rigid divide between ‘rural’ and ‘urban’ in sectoral policies.
