The Brazilian National Environmental Policy: The challenge of plural environmental governance

Abstract: Hironobu Sano analyzes the role of the Brazilian National Environmental Council in the coordination of the government, civil society and the business sector. He argues that as the main environmental deliberative body, the Council faces major challenges regarding its governance and effective functioning.
