The Place Where Intentions Meet: Activism and the art of the invisible
Sue Soal
Development, 2012, vol. 55, issue 2, 210-212
Abstract:
Sue Soal describes the workings of a South African NGO dealing with farm workers, its interaction with its beneficiaries, its achievements and its constraints. She concludes that, even in this age of internet-based activism and global communications, ‘out of date’ NGOs remain essential vehicles of community organizing and contemporary activism.
