Horst Kohler
Development, 2013, vol. 56, issue 3, 299-307
Abstract:
In this essay, former federal president of Germany Horst Kohler presents the main findings of the report of the High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda and discusses the implications of ‘global partnership’ for international politics. He analyses four key concepts of politics: sovereignty, legitimacy, national interests and common values, all of which are needed to be revisited in order to meet the immense social, economic and ecological challenges in this century of interconnectedness.
