Abstract: Abstract This article unfolds a recorded conversation between three people and a sacred clear-flowing River (Wonga Beerie Balan, Rocky River), across cultures, ontologies, and languages. Here, Cultural Elder Uncle Lewis Walker (Uncle Lewis) shares little-known knowledges of the Wahlurbal (West Bundjalung) of the Northern Rivers, NSW, Australia, about Water—as sentient, agentic, and sovereign.
