Abstract:
The UK Centre for Measurement of Government Activity was launched in 2005 to improve measures of public service output. This article discusses how distributional weights may be used to incorporate equality considerations into these measures. It also presents the arguments for and against making this type of adjustment. Economic & Labour Market Review (2009) 3, 44–47; doi:10.1057/elmr.2009.44
