Abstract: This article looks at estimates for Regional Gross Disposable Household Income (GDHI) at current basic prices, published in April 2009 by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). These data are published using the European Union Nomenclature of Units for Territorial Statistics (NUTS) regions. Data are published for the NUTS1, NUTS2 and NUTS3 levels for the period 1995 to 2007. The article includes an overview of the methodology used in the calculation of regional GDHI and concludes with ONS future plans for regional economic data.
