Exploring numerology for businesses: a bold leap of faith

Abstract: Abstract This study introduces numerology as a complementary approach to employee selection within corporate Human Resource Management (HRM). Traditional HRM methods, such as psychometric evaluations, often fail to ensure the seamless integration of new employees into organisational cultures. With its roots in interpreting personality traits based on numerical patterns, numerology offers an alternative perspective. This research proposes a personality traits framework (PTF) that integrates numerological insights with established leadership models and HR practices. Using mind-mapping techniques, the framework aligns birth numbers with corresponding competencies, offering HR managers a nuanced tool for evaluating candidate compatibility. The study highlights the potential of numerology to enhance hiring precision, improve workforce cohesion, and foster better employee retention. While acknowledging the ethical and practical challenges, it advocates for the strategic incorporation of numerology into HRM to address the complexities of modern talent management. The findings contribute to expanding HRM methodologies and lay a foundation for future interdisciplinary research. It suggests directions for future research, emphasising the integration of numerology into modern HR practices to address the complexities of contemporary managerial challenges.
