Abstract: Transport in an activity with strong impact on environment and human live. Therefore it is very important to discuss possibility of sustainable development of transport. In the paper following areas of transport impact are considered: energy and mineral resources, land resources, water resources, air quality, solid waste, biodiversity, noise and vibration, built environment impacts and health effects.
