Abstract: The purpose of the current study was to search for a link between the characteristics of firms’ training activities and the characteristics of the organizations themselves. The validity of our hypothesis was examined on the basis of structured interviews. On the basis of the data we can state that the growth in the increase in the number of employees and the innovative nature of technology used have been accompanied by a parallel growth in the training behavior of firms. In our study we attempted to study in detail the influence that the stage the firm is at on its life cycle curve has on the training provided to employees.
