Abstract: The paper presents the development of the Turin School of Economics through its main phases, i.e., that represented by the leadership of its founder, Salvatore Cognetti de Martiis, and that belonging to the subsequent leadership of Luigi Einaudi. The factors of continuity and discontinuity between the two phases are examined, as well as the main channels of its spread among economists: the series «Biblioteca dell’economista» and the journal «La Riforma sociale». The research covers the period ending with World War II, considered as the terminus ad quem.
