Abstract:
Between 1899 and 1916 Luigi Einaudi publishes on «La Stampa» and «Corriere della Sera» a certain number of articles on the port of Genoa. Besides their journalistic style, they focus on themes relevant even today such as autonomy, labour market, organisation, infrastructures, mechanisation, and at last the role of the port in a war economy. At the core of the various analysis stay the idea of the port as a fundamental mover for the economic development of the entire country
