Abstract: The aim of this paper is to provide a critical reconstruction of the Italian debate on the social question in the corporativist economic doctrine. Particular attention will be paid to the economic thought of Guglielmo Masci, a prominent exponent of this line of research at the University of Naples, with specific reference to the analytical issues arising from his theory of the ‘corporative wage’.
