Abstract:
The object of this contribution is to analyse the period in which Corbino acted as president of the Banco di Napoli. His yearly presidential comments on the Bank’s performances point out polemic remarks towards the Bank of Italy. Corbino argued that the constraints imposed to the commercial expansion of the bank in those years of rapid economic growth were much penalising for the Banco in the present and in the future perspective.
