Abstract:
How Can the Transparency and Accountability of the Financial Management and Campaign Financing of Parties Be Improved? – This was the title of the programme held on September 9, 2011, which was the first in the conference series titled “Transparency and Accountability in Pivotal Bills” as organised by the State Audit Office of Hungary. The goal of the SAO conference series –held in connection with the preparation of pivotal acts – is to communicate the SAO’s audit experiences acquired in the topic of the given acts with those participating in their preparation. At the same time, it also wanted to provide an outlet where scientific researchers and NGOs can voice their opin-ions on the important issues of the regulation, including the possibilities of resolving the problems uncovered by the SAO.
