Abstract: This study is underscoring the impact of climate change on the major agricultural crops in Punjab, Pakistan. These crops are Wheat, Rice, Cotton and Sugarcane. This is the first study of its nature to study the impact of scientific information’s on the stages of development of each crop in order to assess the impact of climate change on each stage of the crops. This detail scientific information’s obtained from Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), Islamabad, Cotton Research Institute, Faisalabad, Rice Research Institute, Kala Shah Kaku. Using panel data of districts of Punjab for the period 1980–2008, Fixed Effect Model is estimated. The findings show that both in short and in long term the impact of climate change on wheat productivity is non-negative, while the impact of climate change is negative for Rice, Cotton and Sugarcane.
