The Interactions between Culture, Global Mindset and Leadership in Global Context

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify the effects of cultural characteristics and mindset of leaders on leadership attributes in global business environment. An extensive literature review has been done. Subsequently, a conceptual model is developed to demonstrate the interactions between culture dimensions, global mindset and leadership styles. It was found that cultural values provide a foundation for the development of intercultural sensitivity and intercultural competence of a leader. On the other hand, it is imperative for leaders to develop a global mindset in order to lead in global context.
