Efficacy of Lactobacillus-supplemented triple therapy for H. pylori eradication: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Abstract: Aim: To assess the effect of Lactobacillus supplementation on Helicobacter pylori eradication rates and side effects of the triple therapy. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Cochrane Library were searched for articles published up to July, 2019. Review Manager 5.3 and Stata 12.0 were used for statistical analyses. Results: The initial database search resulted in 852 articles. Through exclusion and screening, 11 randomized controlled trials involving a total of 724 patients were finally included in this meta-analysis.
