Abstract: The accountability need of public sector organizations becomes increasingly relevant and one of the accountability tool used in the Italian local governments is represented by the Mandate Report. It is typically characterized by its political approach and this work aims to highlight the features that distinguish the Mandate Report, highlighting its characters and criticisms. This is to understand whether this document can really provide a means of transparency or if it is excessively exposed to the risk of succumbing to the propaganda purposes of the political class.
