Abstract:
Nowadays, if someone has access to an Internet connection, then they can buy anything from clothes and food to household appliances, or even travel products and services. At the beginning of our study, we presented a brief overview of internet use for online purchases, the most common problems that may occur when people buy online goods and services and the most important factor for which people have not purchased goods and services over the Internet, in EU and Romania, in 2017. Romania is still at the beginning when it comes to purchasing online travel products. In the present study we aimed to find out if the people from Tîrgu Mureş use the Internet to access/purchase travel products. A survey has been conducted on a number of 283 people, residents of Tîrgu Mureş city, from Romania, aged between 18 and 68. The findings denote that from a wide range of travel products and services the most often online ones purchased were Accommodation Services. We chose to study the online purchase of travel products, a very topical subject that can never be fully exhausted.
