Abstract: In urmatorii 40 de ani se speculeaza ca un oras modern se va baza pe o tehnologie foarte avansata care va provoca o dezvoltare si mai accelerata a zonelor urbane care vor avea sarcina sa ofere un trai confortabil si sigur. Acest fapt pune presiune atat pe mediul privat cat si pe administratia publica in egala masura. Pentru a face fata noilor provocari, administratia publica are responsabilitatea sociala de a creste calitatea serviciilor publice si de a folosi resursele in mod rational si eficient. Societatea este intr-o continua schimbare iar rolul administratiei publice este atent considerat si raportat la dezvoltarea durabila, pentru care transparenta este un indicator de evaluare si apreciere.
