Procedures for identifying statistical data on insolvency proceedings and the difficulties with the introduction of a system in the Czech Republic

Abstract: The study aims to acquaint the professional public with principles and the status of preparation of a questionnaire system that is being used by the team for research of the insolvency proceedings in the Czech Republic. The first part of the article deals mainly with the importance of surveys in general and by the importance of collecting data on insolvency proceedings. Further, the article briefly informs about the history of the insolvency investigation and shows the different parts of the questionnaire. In conclusion, the article introduces further options, which are offered by the questionnaire and by the survey. Particularly in case that this system would be introduced as a standardized tool of the insolvency proceedings and also systematically incorporated by the insolvency courts as one of the databases of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic. The work also suggests necessary legislative changes which need to be done before the questionnaire will be fully integrated by the government.
