Abstract: The questions of human freedom, order of nature and orderliness of human society become disturbed continuously human minds. Today these questions are even more urgent in our disturbed world.This article deals with one proposition of famous Dutch philosophers B.Spinoza which occurs in his main work "Ethics": "Consequently, those who believe that they speak, or are silent, or do anything else from a free decree of the mind, dream with their eyes open."Very interesting and provoking proposition can be a good starting point of the considerations regarding recent discussions about mentioned problems and their ethical dimensions.The main matter in hand is Hayek´s theory of spontaneous order and its consequences for human self-understanding. Author´s effort is aimed to contemplate briefly these more difficult questions. It seems that the contemplations point out that Hayek´s theory could be a spinozistic "dream with open eyes" too.
