Expanze povrchnosti

Pavel Trejbal

E-LOGOS, 2006, vol. 2006, issue 1, 6 pages

Abstract: This essay is an attempt to present insight into contemporary society and social pressure directed towards human individuals from without. Intention is to analyze modern consumer society in the context of present time in a way inspired by Marcuse, particularly his book 'One-Dimensional Man'. Essay reveals false needs as a system instruments serving to suppress other dimensions in us - especially ability to look through the golden cage of our wealthy lack of freedom. Essay compares world-views of the present times with the past ones, i.e. in the sphere of the art creation. It suggests a few of high-spirited views on reconstruction of the present social reality.
