The dwelling construction in Slovak cities in the recent period in temporal and spatial context

Abstract: During the last two decades housing development in Slovakia has registered considerable changes. Decrease of housing construction in the early nineties which was typical for post-communist states was replaced by housing boom during the last decade. It is mainly related to housing construction nearness of cities in the context of suburbanization processes. The aim of the paper is to analyze housing construction development in Slovak cities from 2003 to 2008. The analysis focuses on time and space aspects of housing in Slovakia.
