ICT Usage in the Czech Republic in Comparison with European Countries

Abstract: The aim of this article is the analysis of the information society in the Czech Republic in the comparison with the other European countries. For this evaluation, we have used the data for the year 2009 from the European Commission. In the next part, we have compared the development of the ICT usage between the years 2008 and 2009. The final results are presented at the end of this article. From the methodological point of view, the methods of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives as WSA and TOPSIS were used to compare the countries. During the calculations, we have faced another problem - does the method influence the order of the countries? We give answer also for this question at the end of this article.
