Současná Evropa, 2009, vol. 2009, issue 1, 103-121

Abstract: Considering the creation of 2007-2013 cohesion policy concept we have been witnessing an effort to create "new architecture of cohesion policy" since 2000. New architecture should support needs of individual regions and their sustainable development. It should also create a cohesion policy model which would be able to reflect and fight various internal and external factors and eliminate negative ones.Presented paper tries to identify basic goals and priorities of EU cohesion policy for 2007-2013 and emphasizes changes of goals and tools of cohesion policy in order to solve negative impacts of global financial crisis. Paper also tries to bring up possible scenario of further development of cohesion policy in the near future.
