Abstract: [fre] L'auteur analyse le thème central de cet ouvrage collectif, celui du mode de «socialisation» du travail propre au capitalisme. Il critique l'approche qui interprète la «validation» comme une transformation du travail privé en travail social par l'échange et qui, opposant la notion de «travail abstrait» (compris comme forme particulière aux rapports marchands) à celle de «travail incorporé», exclut celle-ci de la théorie. Il voit dans la thèse selon laquelle la notion «d'abstraction réelle» s'applique au seul capitalisme une tendance à faire du marxisme une philosophie téléologique de l'histoire. Il s'appuie sur les analyses qu'il développe dans son livre «Que faire du Capital ?» (Éditions Klincksieck, Paris 1985). [eng] The author analyses the central theme of this collective work, that is the mode of «socialisation of labour» which is proper to capitalism. He criticises the approach which interprets «validation» as a transformation of private labour into social labour through exchange and which excludes it from theory by opposing a notion of «abstract labour» (understood as a form specific to commodity relations) to a notion of «embodied labour». He sees in the thesis according to which the notion of «real abstraction» applies only to capitalism, a tendency to building marxism into a teleological philosophy of history. He relies on the analyses he develops in his book «What to do with Capital ?» (published by Klincksieck, Paris 1985).
