Ambiguïté ou ambivalence de la notion de marché

Abstract: [fre] Ce que les économistes désignent par économie de marché recouvre des entités très différentes dans leurs formes et dans leur régulation. L'expression peut servir à désigner une économie coordonnée par des prix et/ou par des règles, une économie avec ou sans organisations, avec ou sans monnaie, avec ou sans biens ayant tous les attributs de la marchandise, avec des agents homogènes ou non... L'analyse de ce constat permet d'observer que l'ambiguïté du terme réside dans le fait qu'il désigne davantage une méthode : la science de la pratique quelconque qui permet de conceptualiser des configurations sociales variées, plutôt qu'un territoire. Il convient de renverser la perspective (c'est le programme de l'ambivalence) en considérant que le champ de l'économique est traversé par plusieurs modes de socialisation. [eng] If economists are all talking about the market, they designate with this word different entities according to their institutions or the way they are regulated. The market can denote an economy adjusted by prices and/or hierarchies, an economy with or without money, with or without goods being all merchandises, with or without organizations, with one or different kinds of agents. . . This ambiguity lies in the fact that the market is more a scientific approach, concerned by all social forms that can be described according to the postulate of individual rationality, rather than a defined territory. Conversely, the programme of ambivalence takes for granted that the market is a part of a system including other social structures and rules.
