Abstract: [eng] The Tfe model : analysis of the way in wich the french monetary and financial system functions, . by Béatrice Laury.. . By highlighting the underlying dynamics beneath the equilibrium observed ex post between the different financial flows, the Tfe model is above all a complement to the accounting approach of the Tables of Source and Use of funds for the economy (Tfe) in the making of economic projections and in the analysis of the monetary and financial aspects of economic policy. In also showing the articulation between financial intermediation circuits and capital markets in the financing of the economy, it becomes a privileged instrument for analysing the profound changes in the French financial system today, which are reflected, for example, in the increased role of the capital markets in covering agents' borrowing needs. Without being a true model of the monetary and financial system — it is a short- term, static and parametered instrument— the Tfe model was designed above all as a means of reflection on how the financial sphere of the economy functions and how it interacts with real variables.. . En mettant en évidence la dynamique sous-jacente à l'équilibre constaté ex post entre les différents flux financiers, la maquette Tfe constitue avant tout le complément de l'approche comptable des tableaux de financement de l'économie, dans la réalisation des projections économiques et dans l'analyse des aspects monétaires et financiers de la politique économique. En montrant également l'articulation entre les circuits de l'intermédiation financière et les marchés de capitaux dans le financement de l'économie, elle représente un cadre d'analyse privilégié des profondes mutations du système financier français aujourd'hui, qui se traduisent notamment par un rôle accru des marchés de capitaux dans la couverture des besoins d'emprunt des agents. Sans constituer un véritable modèle du système monétaire et financier — c'est un instrument de court terme, statique et paramétré — la maquette Tfe a été conçue surtout comme un outil de réflexion sur le mode de fonctionnement de la sphère financière de l'économie et de son interaction avec les variables réelles.
