Abstract: [eng] The Effects of the Family Assistance Supplement - Since 1970 the INSEE has been tracing the evolution of the ressources (salaries — taxes + family allowances) of a certain number of case-families defined according to the socio-professional category of the head of the household and, when applicable, of the spouse, as well as according to the number of the children and their age. This year, this survey has made it possible to evaluate the impact of a major reform in family allowances, the chief aspect of which is the introduction of a single family assistance supplement, replacing the five measures formerly in effect. In addition to simplifying the legislation, this reform attempted to increase the assistance provided to middle salary range families having three children. [spa] Los efectos del complemento familiar - Desde 1970, el INSEEE va observando la evolución de los recursos (salarios — impuestos + subsidios familiares) de un número determinado de familias-tipo, definidas por categorias socio- profesionales del cabeza de familia y casualmente del cónyuge, así como por el número de hijos y edad de estos. Este estudio permite, este año, medir el impacto de una notable reforma en materia de subsidios familiares, cuya parte principal es la ínstauración del complemento familiar, el que se substituye a cinco subsidios anteriores. Además de una simplification legislativa, esta reforma tenía por objeto facilitar una ayuda mis importante a las familias con très hijos y cuyo sueldo es mediano.
