Abstract: [eng] Electoral participation in large cities during the municipal elections of march, 1983 - A study conducted by the INSEE on a sample of registered voters has permitted the analysis of participation in the last municipal elections. The behavior of men and women was not very different. It was the managerial class that voted the most. But, the most notable fact is that only half the voters between the ages of 25 and 29 took part in the vote. [fre] Une étude menée par l'INSEE sur un échantillon d'électeurs inscrits a permis d'analyser la participation aux dernières élections municipales. Les comportements des hommes et des femmes sont peu différents. Ce sont les cadres qui votent le plus. Mais le fait le plus notable est que seulement la moitié des électeurs âgés de 25 à 29 ans ont pris part au vote. Los comportamientos de varones y mujeres difieren poco. Son los cuadros dirigentes los que más votan. Pero el hecho más notable es que tan solo la mitad de los electores que cuentan de 25 a 29 años participaron a la votación.
